Learn personal daily practices of a practical and profound tradition.

Ayurveda teaches that the habits of our day; what we do upon waking, cleansing rituals, what and when we eat, how we energize and how we relax are the ingredients that make us who we are and how we feel. If we can think of our daily habits as rituals of self-care, rather than just chores or unconscious routines, a whole lot of details and clues as to how we are and how to achieve greater well-being open up to us.

One way we begin to understand how we are and how to care for ourselves is with ayurveda's description of 20 qualities or gunas. These give us a detailed vocabulary to use to better understand what we are experiencing when we say we feel bad, out of balance, or sick.

In this class we'll take the time to look closely and name which of these qualities we are each experiencing in our imbalances. Once we can clearly name these qualities we can more easily create an action plan to work towards balance and well-being. We can take action through our diet, type of exercise, breathwork, sleeping and waking times and other lifestyle choices.

We will uncover the key to begin to observe ourselves with a more conscious eye and have a handful of actions that feel realistic and easy for us to put into place depending on what we have observed. As we get comfortable with observing through an ayurvedic lens it will become clearer to imagine how we might shift some of our actions to boost our health and realign ourselves to experience greater synchronicity with our desires.
