Acerca de esta actividad
I’ve created this for the hundreds of you over the years that have asked me ‘what can I do for my anxiety Lou?’
Most people I speak to have anxiety. Everyone I speak to experiences stress. And out of those, the vast majority get what I call the ‘double whammy’: they feel powerless / guilty / saddened / even more anxious about their anxiety. That’s a lot to take on. In this workshop I will lead you from feeling out of control, uncertain or powerless to taking a step towards feeling focused, motivated, grounded and productive.
I’m a trained yoga therapist for mental health, yet over the years I’ve come to see that yoga alone does not have a strong effect on our anxiety if our lifestyle is not considered . . . what we do each day is absolutely crucial to our feelings of calm or conversely anxiety. I’ve found for myself that an Ayurvedic lifestyle has dramatically reduced my anxiety, where yoga alone could not.
We explore:
Ayurveda’s take on anxiety
What we do each day: what’s the routine? And why it’s so important
Food: what to eat? when to eat it?
How to get a good night’s sleep
Calming practices to chill us all out
Every participant also gets a free 15 minute focus session (by phone) after the workshop, addressing one specific habit that will help give more structure or ease to their day
So if you are stressed out, prone to anxiety, or just interested in how you can have control in keeping those at bay, this is for you.
