Join Molly for a hands on, fun and informative cooking class that introduces you to the principles of Ayurvedic Cooking. Ayurvedic cooking is a not only a preventative approach against disease and sickness, but also a delicious way for you to support health and wellbeing. Be educated and inspired to cook enjoyable nutritious meals with ease. Classes include Ayurvedic teachings, an Ayurvedic meal that you help create, recipes and a spice mix to take home.
Class will introduce:

· Cooking to support a healthy digestive fire - Agni. Every meal has the potential to increase or decrease your vitality. Learn about your digestive health and discover simple techniques to balance and enhance this important aspect of your life force.

· Using the principles of Shad Rasa – Six Tastes of Ayurvedic cooking that stimulate your digestive system to its optimum health.

· Using specific elements or Tattvas to balance your unique constitution.

· Cooking with culinary healing spices and herbs. Learn to use them in your cooking to derive all the health benefits from the spices and herb as well as all other foods prepared.

· The importance of correct food combining to ensure proper digestion and assimilation.

· Some simple techniques and ingredients to help with common issues of digestion.

Past Classes have included instruction on the following: Seasonal Churna Spice Mixes, Ghee, Kitchari, Dahl, Stews & Soups, Paneer, Spiced Rices, Chai & Teas, Rasayanas, Sweet Treats, Breakfast Porridge & Date Shakes, Home Remedies, Kitchen Pharmacy and more
