Acerca de esta actividad
Join us for our monthly Satsang & Kirtan gathering!
This is a beautiful evening of chanting sacred mantras, discussing philosophy, sharing stories from Vedic texts, and Prasad ~ our offering of a delicious vegan dinner. Suggested donation is $10-$20.
Dates for 2018:
Friday, October 12th, 7pm-9pm
Friday, November 9th, 7pm-9pm
Friday, December 7th, 7pm-9pm
October and November events will be lead by our house Kirtan ensemble, BhaktiShakti Tribe, and for December we have a very special guest leading Kirtan, Idan Meyer.
Kirtan is an ancient form of mantra meditation, a component of Bhakti-Yoga (the Yoga of Devotion), which has the power to open and purify the heart. This chanting, accompanied by musical instruments and rhythmic drumming; brings the audience to its feet in the joy of singing, clapping, and dancing with pure devotion. In its heartfelt expression, kirtan can induce profound states of meditation, bliss, and ecstasy.
We celebrate Diversity in our Inclusive community ~ all ages, faiths, genders, orientations, and ethnicities are welcome!
We are truly excited to share this precious time with you!
No RSVP Necessary.
